Scott T. Hollenbeck, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon, Professor, and Chair of the Department of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Virginia. An internationally recognized plastic surgeon, Dr. Hollenbeck brings extensive experience in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, with particular expertise in surgery of the breast and body. His aesthetic practice includes breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, and fat grafting.
Dr. Hollenbeck earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University, completed general surgery residency training at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, and completed his plastic surgery residency at Duke University. Prior to joining UVA in 2022, he was a tenured faculty member at Duke, where he held leadership roles in breast reconstruction, research, and surgical education. He is the past president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and holds multiple national leadership roles in plastic surgery societies.
Dr. Hollenbeck’s clinical practice includes reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the breast and body, with an emphasis on individualized surgical planning and evidence-based care. In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in academic surgery, research, and the education of medical students and residents. At UVA Aesthetics, he contributes extensive experience in plastic surgery and a broad perspective informed by both reconstructive and aesthetic practice.
