Dr. Amanda Sergesketter is a Harvard- and Duke-trained plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic surgery of the face, nose, breast, and body at our practice in Charlottesville, Virginia. Dr. Sergesketter is among a select group of female plastic surgeons in the country to complete dedicated fellowship training in aesthetic surgery, during which she received highly specialized training in facelift surgery, rhinoplasty, and comprehensive facial rejuvenation alongside leading aesthetic surgeons nationwide.
Now serving as an Assistant Professor in the UVA Department of Plastic, Maxillofacial, and Oral Surgery, Dr. Sergesketter combines advanced surgical expertise with a thoughtful, individualized approach to patient care. She is known for delivering natural, refined results while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and confidence throughout the surgical journey.
Dr. Sergesketter completed her undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with highest honors and distinction and Phi Beta Kappa recognition. She earned her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine, where she received the prestigious R. Randall Bollinger Surgical Scholarship. She then completed six years of integrated plastic surgery residency training at Duke University before pursuing advanced fellowship training in facial rejuvenation and aesthetic surgery at Harvard.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Sergesketter has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications focused on improving outcomes and advancing patient safety in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
